Shipping Policy

We are located in and shipping from Washington and currently only shipping within the US..

We ship Monday through Friday. Please allow 3-5 business days for your order to ship out.

If you are looking for the shipping methods we offer and what they cost, add all the items you want to your cart and go to check out. You will see all the shipping costs and options listed. Since shipping costs can vary between shipping regions, this is the best way to estimate your shipping costs.

Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with labels or tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can use the contact us form or email us directly at themaidandspindle@gmail.com. If your return is accepted based on the above the conditions, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items, special orders, or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Terms and Conditions

We do our best to accurately represent colors and fibers. However, different monitors will show color differently, and color can vary slightly between dyelots.

All yarn is hand dyed by us. We dye in small batches and there will be some variation in color between skeins or braids, as that is the nature of hand dyed yarn. Alternating skeins is recommended for to be happiest with your finished project.

We do our best to fully rinse out excess dye after dyeing. However, some colors may bleed when you wash or block your project. We recommend washing in cool to cold water, and separately from all other items. This is especially important for the first wash, as this is when color is most likely to bleed.
