The Maid and Spindle Fiber Arts Co

Spinning with Natures Finest Fibers

We're moving!

This summer The Maid and her spindles are relocating to the New England area. We're looking forward to meeting new fiber artists and shepherds and being inspired by a whole new landscape of colors! Check back soon for our new colorways!

Welcome

Welcome to The Maid and Spindle, where artistry and nature converge in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. Steph Roark is a data storyteller by day and indie dyer by night. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant hues of nature, we specialize in hand-dyed spinning fiber and yarn. Our collection features deeply saturated colorways across various breeds and blends, including BFL, Merino, and Polwarth, alongside luxurious fibers such as yak, alpaca, camel, and silk. Explore our handmade accessories, project bags, and notions, and discover custom fiber blends crafted from predominantly PNW fleeces in collaboration with local shepherdesses and women-owned mills. Join us in celebrating the beauty and creativity of the fiber arts community!
