Beginner Wood Dop Spindle

Hand-crafted wood drop spindle.

The conical shape of the maple whorl adds weight to the rim for improved stability and longer spinning. A notch in the whorl secures spun yarn. Our wooden spindles are individually handmade in Cincinnati, OH with domestic and international maple and beech materials.

The spindle is 10" long, rounded on both tips, has a 2.5" whorl, and weighs 1.8 ounces.
